The Time Two Mustangs Were Glued Together

The P-51 Mustang would be one of the most important allied aircraft of WWII. But towards the end of the war with the need for longer range fighter escorts, the F-82 Twin Mustang would be put into production. Unable to see action in WWII, the Korean War would see the first US Air Force Air to Air kill by none other than the F-82.

The F-82 was a new design from the ground up design and in no way was it two p-51's put together. The only part used from the P-51 design is the tail-wheel. You need to do your research.
