I can kind of see why they switched to clear from a food safety perspective, but the brown bags did a better job at preserving the flavor.

Exposure to light over time damages both color and flavor. That's why most chefs keep their seasonings in the cupboard, to limit exposure to light

People say MRE's are awful, that's for them, but for the marines...it may be their last meal before action, and the last meal of a person may be their...most memorable, emotional & delicious meal, even if it's not that delicious, so people please stop being complain wussies & appreciate what they do for us☺️. Btw I didn't mean to go full lesson mode there lol

I saw another video by someone who was actually in the military and they said while you’re eating it. Your charge is yelling at you. Hurry up hurry up move move because you still got the schedule and you still gotta go train and sometimes the MRE comes late so you just miss it and you have to eat it later.
