In case you didn’t know: The Crystals, The Ronettes, and The Chiffons were all POC* Girl Groups in the 60s :)

Every time this song ends all my brain tells me is MORE! MORE! MORE! But nothing else from the soundtrack compares!!!! I love this song!!!

Of course it isn't really a cut song in the traditional sense. It was written to play during the end credits of the movie. I have no idea why they didn't go with that as it's brilliant. I think it was first recorded by Debbie Shapiro Gravitte on her great Alan Menken album.

High school quartets across the country are scrambling to find the SAA for this, and Sopranos are fighting everywhere. Altos are finally at peace

- As a 44 year-old man who's had glasses since he was 2, I never a knew a life without them (contacts were not an option) and watching Chiffon using her glasses as PART of her character and they progressed WITH her, means SO much!
- This song is a TOTAL bop! Just TRY not to bop!!!!
- These girls are KILLING it!

I'm still obsessed with this song a year later. I see in the comments it was originally meant for the movie credits, but with the revival being a bit heavier on the chorus it would be a killer song to fit in after the curtain call or something.

I love the costumes of those three girls in their street clothes. They look so perfect but so not perfect at the same time.

I SAW THESE THREE PERFORMERS IN NEW YORK LAST MONTH THEY WERE SO AMAZING!!!! I sat front row center with my best friend and when we met them after the show they said, "heyy! You guys were the ones up front screaming your heads off!! We heard you guys! You really hyped us up!" And it made my entire vacation 💚💚💚🪴🪴

It's a great melody, very period and catchy. I can see why they cut it. The greek chorus commenting on the fact that they are an homage to girl groups gone by is a bit too much to process in the wake of a story about a man-eating plant.

I truly could not love this more. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken together were MAGIC!

I came here from TikTok. I'm glad to see this. It's kinda like nostalgia for something I'm too young to remember.

I've played in the pit for a number of local theater musicals. LSOH is one of a very small number of shows I never got tired of. This is a wonderful song and performance, and I am pleased to be able to see and hear it. Thank you, Theatrely!
