No wonder the street guys of brooklyn hated him. Granted the house wasn't this immaculate in Castellano's day but to think those street dudes were putting their life on the line for nickles and then kicking up half those nickles to a guy living in that kind of house who clearly didn't need it.

Funny thing is Paul spent 1 mill on that house back in 1980. Think it claimed that in mm, would've been a great investment if his family still owned it. Either way I'd love To own that house.

It is a nice house, but that all it is, a nice house, i hope people realize that a rich life with expensive things does not create happiness. If your sad on the inside than the house is just a fancy looking shell. Lets look at Paul, he had a weener that didnt work, he had to worry about getting whacked or going to prison, he had a failed marriage, all of his subordinates hated him and he had to of known it. He inhabited a fancy shell. The house is beautiful, but it only just looks beautiful, if the house isnt filled with love is it really a beautiful home. I live in a tiny home. But i love my tiny home.. Paul was a power hungry man so the house probably satisfied something in him, but my personal theory is that it didnt make him happier.

if you were castellano in in the early 80s you must have felt on top of the world waking up every morning in a pad like this knowing you basically own nyc. own a whole load of successful businesses and are also the boss of gambino family inc. must of been a real power trip.
