1. Fractals and Recursion: Introduction and Learning Objectives

We look at a very interesting, though somewhat confusing, programming style called RECURSION. Recursion basically means a function calling itself. We explore recursion through fractals. Fractals are infinitely repeating self similar patterns. Recursion is a very powerful tool to draw fractals. And fractals provide a very good way to learn and visualize recursion, making them a win-win situation.
