'If you cry at my funeral, I'll never speak to you again'. Stan Laurel.

In the early 1940$ my darling grandad would often entertain me as Stan he had an incredible act of turning his sweet face into a long, sad crying one. I was too young then to appreciate how clever he was. Born in in the late 1800s he wa a real treasure, He was kind and sweet and gentle. He dies in his early 60s. I still adore him and I am in my 80s. ❤😊

I think Stan and Ollie would be far happier knowing that old fans and new fans are enjoying Laurel (13th Feb 1965) & Hardy (7th August 1957) genius almost 60 years & 68 years after their passing. Their humour and love shines through. Absolute Legends.

Dear Stanley, my earliest memories of movies are of you and your partner Oliver and Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, both comedy duo’s were my grandfather’s favourites. I can still recall him laughing at your antics Stanley. I am sure that’s where my adoration for you comes from. All those years ago and seeing you. Now I’m 68 yet that emotional attachment is still as strong as if I were just a little boy once again. . A great tribute.

What a tragic loss he suffered losing his baby boy! He will have carried that pain with him all his life. I am from Lancashire in England so not far from where he was. He really was a brilliant actor. I remember watching Laurel and Hardy as a child. Two of the greatest comics alive💯❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

These 2 performers were, in my opinion the epitome of humor. Yeah, there were others, but NOBODY could make laugh more than these 2.

He was stupendously famous yet he lived a tumultuous life. There's a message in this for all of us common people.

It is infuriating the way that the producers and studios treated these two incredible talents who brought so much laughter to the world! Instill love their movies!

Laurels is probably the greatest comic writer in the black and white era. Laurel and Hardy are still loved today. It is impossible to think of Laurel without Hardy and visa versa. Quite brilliant timing minus the technology of later years. An English man and an American set the world alight . Their timing has never been equalled as they appeal to young and old alike. Laurel was also a very kind gentleman, Laurel and Hardy, forever XxXx

Stan Laurel also owned a home on Strathern Street in what is now called Winnetka, CA. The home had a swimming pool, and was on the north side of the street between Winnetka Avenue and Oso Avenue in the 20200 block. This is in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, and was 1 block away from my mother's mother's home on Arminta Street at 20204 Arminta Street.

Seems most of the others got rich while the man who made it happen built a priceless legacy.

Stan and Ollie were my childhood watching on a Saturday morning with my dad. Even though both had passed away before I was born. My favourite line in one of their film is Stan visiting Ollie in hospital and he bought him hard boiled eggs and nuts mmm.

They were both my darlings. I loved seeing them at Saturday morning pictures for children in London in the 50s
