First split screen video in a long time.... you can almost say that it's been awhile. Booya!

Alright now that the horrible pun is out of the way, I used Shotcut to do this. Never used it before but I like it way better than VSDC which is what I was using before for split screen stuff. Watched a couple crash course tutorials on how to use it and viola, here's the test video after messing around with it for about an hour. I should've done a video like this for Outside as well looking back but oh well.

So, after taking out some paper like a nerd - I figure this song is just Half step with a drop C# + A low (B) in G#. So, the bottom strings are just doubled up like you could would in normal drop tuning but even more...dropped.

I don't know why but this song is really speaking to me. Been on a few dates and I seem to sabotage it. I think I am afraid or I am just not ready for a relationship. I don't know who I am anymore. I want to be comforted and I wanted to give my love but I seem to stray away from it.

I never realized how low the tuning was on this song, no wonder why I could never figure it out. I watched the music video, dude played it with a 6-string Ibanez but it had some beefy ass strings on it and a wound 3rd.

Great cover, man! Been checking out your channel! As an 18 year old, nu metal holds a soft spot in my heart since I grew up with some of these songs! Regarding the tuning, does your guitar relatively stay in tune switching to odd tunings like this? It’s a baritone so it can handle low tunings like a G# on the low E, but this tuning is almost like a 7 string tuning. I guess I could word it like this: does your baritone stay in tune good when switching from standard Drop A to a weird G# tuning like this?

The original tuning of the song It's been awhile by Staind its on G# C# G# G# C# F# A#, Drop C# or Eb (D# standard, half step down tuning)?

Did you use any guitar effects and if so what effects did you use

What brand acoustic is that it’s very pretty

Nice job. Need a baritone electric to get this to sound right though. The intro part is too 'twangy', I'm assuming because the strings are too thin.

Nice work dude! I’m looking to grow my channel and eventually get monetized. I want to do more covers but I fear for copyright strikes. How’s your channel doing in regards to copyright stuff?
