This makes me feel the opposite of liminal spaces, Chris's room doesn't feel like a liminal space.
It feels populated, crowded, and I swear you can S M E L L the room through the photo.
This video is still great tho, cus it's like anti-luminal and I hope I never run into a place like the Chandler house. The feeling makes my head crowded, and feel like I should avoid my step.

I swear, in any video that featured Chris trying to squeeze through the hallways, he points the camera into a room with trash piled to the ceiling and says something like,

I've always found it funny how Chris has his closet door completely blocked off with media shelves. I wouldn't be surprised if all of his clothes and shoes were thrown in a big pile out in the hallway.

I feel like this is the opposite of liminal but it’s still just as terrifying. Liminal is when everything seems desolate and empty yet you don’t know what could be lurking in the shadows. Here, everything is overcrowded and messy, and you know *exactly* what happened in the shadows.

Something about the lighting, the quality of the pictures, and the occasional old stuff in the background like the TV or the style of the house, gives off that nostalgia feeling. At least here 0:38 his games were organized and it legit looks like a dream room for a kid in the early 2000's. But knowing it belonged to an adult, and knowing what the rest of the house looks, it makes this picture feel sad. The kitchen is depressing and the room full of boxes is such a waste of space.

i honestly feel really bad that the chandlers lived this way for years and years. seeing their hoarding spill out onto the front porch in the first pic fills me with dread. i really cannot imagine what its like living this way and honestly chris’ room feels less queasy to look at when you see what lurked outside of it. just really sad
