cat valentine literally changed and we never noticed

Let me know what y’all think , did you guys notice her completely change the first time you guys watched it ? ik i didn’t till i watched it on netflix🤣 What are some more changes i didn’t catch?

Season 4 cat is constantly stressed out and uncomfortable. Season 1 cat is just really cool and someone you'd want to be friends with.

I feel like her mental health got more and more messed up throughout the show

I never noticed when I watched it at first but I rewatched it on Netflix and was so surprised at how much she changed

I noticed the change. Voice got higher and she SEEMED shorter. She went from always wearing heels to never.
And her catchphrase “What’s that supposed to mean?!” wasn’t used anymore.

Similar to the change of SpongeBob. He got more silly and kid-like after the first few seasons. Mid/deep level voice less and less.

They told her curly hair wasn't "In character" for Cat Valentine . So they made her dye her hair red and straighten it. But she had to start wearing red wigs at some point because she was having hair damage. Which leads to the iconic ponytail she has now. :D

I honestly like the progression of her character because it really shows that she was more and more traumatized throughout the show, and being cutesy and happy-go-lucky was a coping mechanism

I think she changed because of her weird brother because i remember in one time she said in the episode she got trapped in a metal box in sam and cats she said "It feels like my closet when i hide from my brother" Sam: why would you hide from your brother? "You know..to survive"

Its crazy to think about it now because back when we were younger, the brother jokes seemed normal and just part of her character. However it really does show how traumatized she was because of her brother. Do y’all remember when she told Sam that she was in a closet HIDING from her brother to SURVIVE?? The child like persona could be traced back to(POSSIBLY) her parents having to focus more on her brother since he’s “not well” and most likely dangerous and needs to be paid attention to more than their healthy daughter cat? It makes sense but of course, it’s all speculation.

Shit, i never noticed this until now. But it kinda makes me sad, I’m studying psychology and it just kinda shows that Cat was suffering more and more during the show, she starting to create like a coping mechanism or smth. It really makes me sad, wow

I think Nickelodeon got in trouble for making comedy out of a bipolar character so making her dumb was easier

Yea I've barely noticed it know during the first few season her voice sounds normal and the last season it sounds slower and off

When she said "ugh it's so gross how he's always hitting on every girl" she sounded like a normal highschooler, then she became a 6 year old

Season 1 she was wasn’t so out of her mind, and her voice was deeper, her style went from neon to bright pink

Y'all realize that the change has probably nothing to do with the fact that she's traumatized but that's the excuse Dan made for pushing his kinks/fetishizes onto her? Like seriously dan did it to every female but especially ari probably because she was his type.. Scary to think about looking back knowing how Dan was to all the girls..
