Bill of Materials (WIP, may not be 100 percent complete)

I've always wanted to build a Raspberry Pi that looks like a tiny gaming PC. After all, next to OctoPrint, gaming is what I use my Pi's for the most! But can we build a mini computer that we can overclock, be productive with, and play games, both old and new? Let's find out.

Note : This is meant to be a satirical video inspired by Linus Tech Tips. Of course a Raspberry Pi cannot directly replace a gaming PC. This is just a fun build that's meant to look good and do cool things!

Brilliant work! I am impressed that as one person you've designed a 3D print, designed a PCB, soldered, and even filmed & edited all of it in a great video. Thanks for sharing and a V2 design with an ethernet port would make me go ahead with printing one myself. Keep up the great work bro. Subbed.

Great new intro! Really cool move of the USB to the back! Another awesome build! Keep them coming

Spent the last week scouring the internet for mini desktop builds for RPI4, and this is the best I've seen so far. Please do a v2 with ethernet relocation to the back, I always prefer a direct connection!

Holy cow! First thing I noticed was all that filament for the 3D printers 😂😂

Your Linus emulation game is on-point.

Yea man you should definitely add a ethernet plug to the back IO. You could use a jack plug from home depot and just wire in a short jumper. It kind of snaps into a knockout that has a notch, should be able to 3d print it into back.
Nice build man I have a few Pies laying around and wanna try this one out!
Thanks,
Casey

This is really awesome. I would like to do this just to have a cute little browser since I don’t really play games much anymore. Thank you for taking the time to go into such detail, as I am a visual learner.

Very cool, found this video on my google feed. I would be interested in buying the box with the extras for my raspberry pi 4 b+.

You should add a 2.5" SSD with a Sata to USB adapter in it somewhere to boot off of, it is quite a bit quicker than the SD card. I have the rpi 4b 8GB model and can run win10 for ARM on it, I boot off a 2.5" 120GB SSD over USB3.0. It's not great so raspberry pi OS is probably the way to go still but something to think about.

I just added the Bill of Material to the video description!

Hey all! Thanks for checking out the build! I know a Raspberry Pi can't replace a gaming computer, it was meant to be a little tongue and cheek around a cool case design. What type of case would you like to see next?

Looking pretty smart, but why would you not use an SSD for increased performance. I have my Pi4 in an Argon M2 case, overclocked to 2300 running off a Western Digital Blue M2 drive (nt NVME).

Have you tried running Blender on RPi4, it will only run 2.79, but it's been more than enough for most my simple 3D designs that design, slice and Print from my Pi (which I use as a daily desktop). I must be the only one doing this!

You mentioned using Steamlink, but no one seems to be mentioning Moonlight-QT that will allow you to do similar, but from a Cloud PC. If Blender on the Pi isn't enough I can spin up the cloud PC, connect via Moonlight-QT (from the desktop) and run Fusion 360 or any of my titles I have on STEAM. The lag is minimal, most cloud PCs cost less than $20 PCM with a couple of GIGs storage. Great for those on a tight buck.

One question initially. Best orientation for the main body print? I see supports in my future but I can't decide what poison to take?

This is amazing. I now want one to sit next to my main PC. And to carry it around to work as my BYOD. EDIT: But I would go with Noctuas.
