misa kitara digital guitar palm muting

my personal opinion is that a true digital guitar is not just about "triggering notes" - it's about controlling sound. it's about making the instrument feel like it was designed FOR synthesis, instead of the other way around. playing guitar involves complex interactions, and synthesizers have complex parameters. the misa kitara meshes these two concepts together not with overly complex algorithms, but with an (IMHO) elegant solution that works with the core concepts in synthesis.

all sound in the video is generated by the kitara only.

I still prefer regular guitar, I personally hate techno sounds such as these, but if a band were to use this it shows that they have a bit of talent, very innovative and I may grow to like it and maybe want one, congrats on the new technology.

I love this demo, but what *is* the latency, really? It seems really high in this video (e.g. the pitch bend lag early on is huge), but I suspect that might also be a youtube sync issue. Other videos are inconclusive as well. So, from when I hit the screen till the sound comes out: What is it? 5ms? 10ms? 30ms?

well, this is very much about the effects and having full control over them, which is not really something you easily get from an electric guitar.

@keithie7 you do realise this will be just as hard to play as a guitar. not every person will be able to pick it up and play amazing, it isn't a guitar hero concept which you probably see it as because your iggnorant. Instead of the frets and strings you have the buttons so it can work with the touch pad. Yes i agree it doesn't sound like a palm muted guitar but oh well just that one little thing doesn't make the whole concept crap.

The thing is, the "patch"(the sound" he made or chose is really badly made, with too much high end. A skilled person could make it sound liek, say, a piano in no time at all

first of all i play electric guitar and do not own one of these "digital guitars" second of all all instruments are childrens toys. third of all all music is subjective, not objective. It is purely an opinion whether you think its good or bad. Talent in swordsmanship is useless against an AK 47.

I just think your sense of entitlement is funny in an area of art where everything is an opinion and subjective. The end of music is always being predicted but music is always and forever changing

@keithie7 Dude I play guitar and have been playing for 6 years now. And no look at all the videos over youtube of people playing real guitar. This is just kids trying to have fun. I think it's cool but Hey everyone has their own opinions. And if you want to waste your life and your money breaking these things go ahead. You're really not hurting anyone, They'll just keep making more of these and they'll just keep taking your money. . .
