At 26 years old, Maxwell Frost is the youngest member of Congress. The Florida representative has spent his formative years organizing for gun control, abortion rights and voting access. Now, freshly sworn in, he’s getting used to life on Capitol Hill. Vice News tagged along for his first weeks on the job.

I'm glad Maxwell brought up what blacks go through in Miami. Growing up there that Hispanic black racism is something not experienced by other blacks. But also I am happy that he himself has accepted who he is. Overall I hope he gets stuff done and that DC doesn't corrupt him.

Truly, standard of living legislation could not be more valuable at a time like this. He's so spot on, take away the need for that insecurity that leads to violence just to survive and you'd be surprised how much would change. The fear of poverty is greater than fear of dying from guns.

What we need is more young people in Congress. It's ridiculous that we have the elderly making choices for a generation they'll never see grow to maturity. And their thoughts and actions are outdated. We need more young people making decisions.

I’m very pleased with Frost as the first representative of my generation. I met him at a protest where he lead chants on June 1st, before I knew he was a candidate. Great guy.
