Pigweed Identification: Redroot

Pigweeds are major weed pests in many North Carolina crops! Redroot has always been present, Palmer pigweed has moved in over the last few years, and now we have Waterhemp in both Yadkin and Surry counties. Area Agriculture Agent, Tim Hambrick, created a short video that will help you learn to identify redroot pigweed. Proper identification is crucial to develop a good control strategy.
