Playing for 7 years in the NBA is not a bust

this is the problem with people who only look at stats. did yall even watch his raptors games when all the starters were injured? juancho was starting regularly and was commended all the time about being great at cutting

and then when everyone was back from their injury he was still starting but barnes and all the usual starters were having a tantrum about being outshined and not getting their usual minutes, so juancho being his unselfish-self seemed to have stepped aside and was forced to not outplay those selfish player crybabies.

imo raptors killed juancho's confidence, he was supposed to be on fire after eurobasket. an nba team with a team playing system needs to give him another chance instead of teams with coaches like nick nurse who doesn't even have a bench mob and just exhausts their starters for 40mins a game.

Playing 7 years in the NBA is no where close to being a “bust” and the fact he’s still balling too. Sure he’s not a NBA player but his career is far from over.

NBA play style doesn't suit him much like other Euro league stars. That doesn't mean he's not as skilled as NBA players but the NBA is still a business and prioritizes the entertaining level of play than effective plays.

Jokic would love to have him back in Denver so they could play Fifa and hangout. He would not be that helpful in terms of basketball but may help keep Jokic in good spirits.

He and Jok had pretty good chemistry. For whatever reason when I went and saw a Nuggets game during that time we would A) Lose and B) Juancho would have a good game.

In this kind of analysis no one ever mentions the Big dinosaur inside the room. There is always a gap between american and foreign players. There is an overall mistreatment that underestimates european players. The same for Jokic, for Fournier or Hernangómez.

He got bullied after commenting about Celtics and struggle to find a team that would welcome him. Coaches of teams he'd been into, lessen his playing minutes per game. I mean, Hernangomez is obviously very good player but who would score and show stats in just 5 minute play? The least was even 4 minutes, that's absurd. Obviously deliberate.

Being Elite at 1 thing can keep up in the NBA longer than being Mediocre at many things

I don't know the numbers exactly, but I think you can count the players that have come back to the NBA after a season or more overseas with one hand... If there are any. Once you are out you are out and there is no going back. There is someone better and younger in your place already and the teams are not looking for old players to fill their rosters.

He certainly will stay longer in Spain or Greece..better weather, food, beer, girls, money...what's not to like. And lets be completely honest...the NBA isn't the basketball pinnacle anymore 😉

Money talks here. You have a moment when you have thirst for money. You get money, and then you're not thirsty anymore. Then he finds calm team.
