Growing Onions with a plastic bottle.

Good idea but I wouldn’t waste so much full onions I can do this from growing seeds first and plant from seedlings.🌱

Most people don't know if you leave the onions in the ground for the winter. They come up. I've never planted new onions for 10 years.

No need to plant/waste the whole onion. Just cut bout a 1/2 inch off bottom root end and plant. I do it as I use the onions. Keeps a supply of greens coming. Same with celery root end.

Don't need to cut the top. The top will protects the sprouting. With little of fertilizer will grow 3 time faster. Very good ideas. Thank fo the video.😂

Shouldn't he have planted the tops he cut off the onions? The root as the edible part is what makes onions attractive to us as onions. If he cuts off the tops and continues to do that we never have the root to eat, This only makes sense If this is about regrowing the leaves as spring onions, otherwise you would keep the leaves growing until they produce seeds which you plant for new onions.

Onions are extremely easy to grow, you can grow it cleaner than this by putting the bulbs in a large dish that can hold water. Those grow fast.
