It's so fascinating how tucker always spread his opinion of things at the same time as being ignorant about them and gets away with it to his brain deficient audience, he keeps asking questions and doesn't answer them... Maybe tucker it's your job to do your homework, why do you keep asking us!?!?

Crazy how a high ranking politician is just able to say so many factually wrong things or pretend he is unable to define a simple concept like ESG.

I guess DeSantis doesn't actually believe in capitalism, or he wouldn't be so bent on controlling investing the same way he controls who says what to whom about whatever after they read something they shouldn't have.

The first ESG investment options were Christian investment funds.

I thought we decided that firing people and blacklisting then for their beliefs was unacceptable after Mccarthy?

Very good video! I heard a really weird argument one time and someone was arguing that Blackrock is forcing people to adopt ESG using their software called ALADDIN. I looked it up a bit and it just seems like a software you can use for managing portfolios lol.

The problem in your logic is that you think there's such thing as private ownership when the government controls absolutely everything through regulation, licensing and how much you get to keep through taxation.
SEC regulates and forces ESG disclosures to the benefit of those who control ESG scores. The government is helping corporate oligarchs pick winners and losers and in essence granting monopolies.

Great video. My interpretation of what it means to ban ESG investing from public bodies is to narrow their investing decision process not to take ESG scores into account, not preventing investment in "ESG companies". That's the most reasonable implementation of "banning ESGs" that I can think of.

I'm not so sure you would be saying the same if the shoe was on the other foot and the right wingers had the majority institutional and cultural control and had decided to reject people or businesses based on political affiliation en masse.

When Exxon has a higher ESG rating than Tesla, one has to look beyond the advertised rhetoric.

If they are going to restrict ESG, are they going to restrict Sin Stocks too?
This is done by investors on both side of the coin. Those who want to do good with their money. And those who want to take extra profit even at the cost of human life. And both of these types of companies can be invested in for any reason.

I know DeSantis wants to go full government overreach, especially after the Disney stuff. But this looks like another start of culture war talking point that will make the world worse and encourage not holding companies accountable. It might seem insane now, but in 2-4 months, I would not be surprised if this was the same level of talking point as CRT.

Love the video EB, but saying that Tucker Carlson looked like a confused besan frise really seem out of left field

I disagree on your point that "if you can't define ESG, what are you even banning?"

That's a bad argument. ESG sounds a lot like "attractiveness". A person who is attractive to me, may not be attractive to you and vice versa. If we created a scale, we might have wildly different metrics for determining who goes where.

But I think we both can agree, we don't want to see companies hiring employees based of their attractiveness, or banks only handing out loans to attractive people.

ESG scores are just a way for authoritarians to game the market. You don't have to be sustainable, environmentally friendly, or profitable: you just have to bend the knee.

I agree with any type of government inteventionism, especially right wing, because today right wingers are protecting more interest of working class
