Empty World 【ORIGINAL SONG】

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, INA!!! Thank you for being the kind and gentle soul that you are. Your presence calms all our hearts, so I would like to dedicate this song to you.

I never thought I would see the day that this song would finally be finished. As you can tell I have been busy with a lot of things, from building a new PC to preparing for my debut to writing this crazy song. All those instruments, all those vocal parts… I could write a whole essay as to how I wrote these lyrics and chose certain melodies, but here are the main ones I would like to mention:

1. The theme is inspired by some of Ina’s favorite games such as Hollow Knight and Nier. I also took inspiration from my own favorite artists especially Kokia (thus the choral Latin chanting), and some subtle Wicked vibes in the beginning. Idk what genre of music this is anymore….

2. This is roughly based on Ina’s lore but since she doesn’t have much lore to expand upon I decided to just integrate parts of her personality as a priestess and her calming presence in the way that she looks after everyone.

3. Inanis means “empty” or “void” in Latin, which inspired the title, “Empty (Inanis) World.”

4. The Latin poem in the last sung chorus is an excerpt from the song “O, Fortuna” which is where the word “inanis” is most famously known from. You guys have probably heard it before, it’s pretty famous.

5. ALL THE PUNS, and references to Unravel (did you get it?)
