My dog and I take our home made houseboat out onto the Mississippi River to explore the islands and channels of the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge. We do some fishing and even catch a large walleye! All of this happens before discovering that our boat is sinking and eventually become stranded out in the middle of the main channel.

My husband and I got stranded in our car in Wyalusing State Park on the Mississippi River when a tree fell across a dead end road we were on right before dark. It was late in the fall season. Thank God we somehow got a cell signal and two maintenance guys came out with big chain saws and rescued us.

Hello Jack and Ellie!
Here's a great and simple dish for camping. First, chop up 2 Jalapeno dogs; second, dice up half a medium sized onion (your choice of onion); third, open a can of French cut green beans. Adding a little butter to grease the pan, pan fry the hot dogs and onions together until they are a golden brown. Onions can be eaten raw as well. Cook's choice. Finally, drain and add the green beans. Season to taste, and then cover and let cook for a few minutes, stirring frequently. Anyway, I have been a fan for a long time, and I hope you enjoy.
