Now as I enter midlife - you two guys definitely can't speak from your own experience - the golf bag test is real and for me the E46 M3 convertabke was my choice for its driving enjoyment, analog feel, limited remaining depreciation and functional back seat... also it holds my golf clubs!

No car will be faster than a run of the mill Tesla, but I guarantee no car (especially EV) will beat the sound and smiles you’ll get from a V10.

Steve's not wrong about the motorcycle; offers the best macho posturing/peacocking potential to cost ratio. A guy in his mid-20s discovering the idea of a 10 year old used bike that's still fast enough that it doesn't matter it's 10 years old for half the price of the cheapest cool used car he wants... that's special.

Besides midlife crisis cars are either obvious (Corvette) or nerdy enough to need an explanation for non-car people. Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is the best I can think of for the current midlife crowd.

Young man car r type civic all day long married with kids m5 or Audi rs4 avant Iam 70 plus and can’t let go of the rs 🤪
