Did you know that the BAD parent, when one parent actually is a bad parent, often does one of two things. Either they don't try at all because they don't want the kid. Or, they aggressively pursue custody of the child against the other parent, and by aggressively, I mean, false accusations that are of a very insidious nature. I have seen so much of this, I know the drill by now. Abusive men, for example, are also more likely to try to remove a child from the mother by claiming she's a terrible, crazy, drug addicted, abusive, negligent. Etc. And unfortunately it works sometimes even with little or no real evidence to support it.
