WHY BEES SWARM - simple explanation

I JUST HAD ONE THIS MORNING!! It was absolutely amazing!! At first I was scared cuz I thought it was a Hive and I knew my dad was gonna try to get rid of them un-humanely. :( So I contacted a local bee Keeper to remove them and hopefully re home them. She let me know that it was most likely a resting swarm and to give it half a day so they can leave, and about 1 hour ago they were gone! I'm so sad I couldn't see them leave, but at the same time I'm so amazed and wanted to learn more. ❤ thanks for informing us! Now I appreciate bees even MORE and a bonus: my dad just joined the bee lovers club! :D ❤️ Thanks for your info!!

This just happened at my apartment this morning. I could hear them with the window open (and screen shut lol.) It only took them about 30 min to move. This video is a great explanation of what I just witnessed. It was cool to watch from a safe distance!

I love bees 🐝. My daddy had. 42 hives when I was growing up then one day he gave them all away making me very sad 😔. I didn’t relish why he done this. To find out next door people. Complaining about them they had hives themselves. One day I will get a starter kit. Thankyou. 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝👄

So basically, if i understand correctly, the queen and most of the hive leaves, but there's a part of the colony that stays behind and grows a new queen?😊

I found an unexpected hive in my yard today. The reason I noticed it was because I was doing dishes and looking out the window and WOW what a swarm!
