I never knew this put a lot of people microwave things on paper plates and paper towels here in USA. I always thought it would catch on fire too but then learnt that microwaves were made to vibrate the water molecules in food to make it hot so something dry like paper nothing really happens to. I do not advise trying to microwave a paper plate for as long as you can to try and catch it on fire 😅

make cheese sauce and bean chicken sauce and then freeze in portions! Cheaper and just as easy minus the initial work! Just take out the frozen portion and microwave!
