If you're concerned about dryness when you do a Wash & Go, there's a simple solution to retaining moisture. Hint: it's not the application of leave-in conditioners or oils. The beauty of Wash & Go is that you get to hydrate thoroughly, and the more often you do, the better your natural hair will be.

YESSSS!!!! My moisture retention went sky high when I did my wash and go every 3-4 days! I didn’t even need to deep condition anymore!

Finally, I found some information that has freed my hair and my soul! I’ve used every product on the market and my hair was still dry, dry, dry. Using the Anthony Dickey method has been a true blessing.
I’ve been natural for 8 years and this is the first time my 4c hair has retained moisture.
Thank you!

Yes I agree however I don’t wash every 3 days but 5 days and I notice my hair was staying more moisturized. Also I let the water run on my hair at least 2-3 minutes prior to shampooing and it’s less dry (low porosity) . My salt and pepper crown loves it….water ..water its one of the necessities to retaining a beautiful head of natural 😊hair…..
Much success 👍🏾🙏🏾

Yes! I do daily wash and gos, for over a year now 😄 and my curl texture normally is tight, coarse and very dry. My hair stays soft and fluffy. Its only 3 inches so its easy for me to do but I'm so used to it, I love the feel of a clean scalp and soft hair 🥰

Hello I tried your no suds shampoo love it. So brought the styling cream it was excellent. Also purchased finishing balm. Loved it too. It says to use on dry hair. Can I use it on wet.

Due to breast cancer in 2021 treatments I am still really thin on top. Any suggestions.

Hi Dickey! I've been trying wash and go's for the past 2 months or so. My hair is 4C and very low porosity. My number one problem is that my hair takes forever to dry! Even when I went to a salon to get a wash and go done, I sat under the dryer for 2 hours. My hair still wasn't dry so I had to leave the salon with hair that was still pretty wet. My second problem is because of the porosity of my hair, no matter how much I work products in, I'm left with flakes and residue. Theres a curling custard I tried that really helped to capture my definition but in the end I had to wash it out due to the residue. I always make sure my hair is dripping before I apply products but I still encounter these two problems. At the moment the only thing that doesn't leave residue is mousse but it doesn't give very good hold. I really don't know what to do anymore. (sorry this is a long read)

So here's my issue with a wash n go. If I have to wash my hair every 3 days, I am also detangling on those wash days. Detangling that often feels like TOO much manipulation. I need a style where I don't have to mess with it for a week.

i have a question- the AD wash and Go method requires you to wet your hair everyday in the shower. I have been doing research and they said doing this can cause hygral fatigue. Is this true ? How do we avoid this if we are wetting our hair everyday ?

Can you use gels like eco styler and wet line if you’re just dining washing, or do those kinds of products need shampoo?

I have a question, is the hair streching test something that is true? Or is it also a myth?

Question: Do I rinse my conditioner out with cold water to close the cuticle (so they say), warm water or it does not matter?

Sorry, but washing every day isn't needed. You can also rinse your hair with water every day and styling it again with products. And then washing it once a week with shampoo.
