My parents did the same thing except they'd pull my hard drive out of the computer. Joke's on them, I'd swap in a dummy hard drive the night before so they'd take that one instead. They eventually figured it out though

This was my parents (and yes they’re Asian). They REALLY wanted me to learn an instrument. Got me from flute to piano, to guitar, to drums. Even tried singing lessons. I finally got them to stop when I hit hs cuz I had 0 musical talent and interest
