Nissan and Infiniti 3.5 water pump the easy way no timing

There are far too many comments to answer individually somehow or another. The algorithm showed me this. I apologize for the late response, but I took the other cover off to show you guys that you don’t have to take anything out. It was so you can view the chain and see the slack. You do not have to remove the tension at all. When you go counterclockwise. It will give you enough slack on the other side of the chain to get the pump out. You will know because you can tell by the feel of the slack, if you are not equipped to do that, you should not be in here. You should be fully prepared to do a job before you do this. Second you need to drain the coolant before yes when you’re done you should drain the oil as well. If you follow the steps and you go counterclockwise with just a quick snap like I said you will have enough room to get the pump out and the bolts with no issues there will be just enough room. You won’t have to use a screwdriver or anything again I’ve done this at least 50 times probably in my career and it has to be on a 3.7 or 3.5 you cannot get away with it on any other model thank you everyone for the supporteven the doubt you’re what makes me go every day to prove the world and easier place to fix cars

How did you drain it before taking thw pump out? Radiator or the pumps 12mm socket?

2007-2008 vq35hr doesnt have those plates .. guess nissan removed it from the front cover

I tried to do what you said and thrned it counterclockwise and it only loosened a very small amount it wont go any further i need help vro what do i do i drive a nissan murano and i have to unmount the engine to even get to the tensioner

I have a fx35 im doing the job now and i turned to far. I still have slack but not enough. Im dont want to move the crank anymore fearfully

Do you take off the tensioner also??? I’m confused because you opened the other cover and you only needed to open the water pump cover the way you explained it you wouldn’t need to open the tensioner cover
