The Maxus eDeliver 3 is the world’s 1st ground-up electric van, which makes it a major milestone on the steady march to all-EV LCVs on UK roads. The model our resident van expert Tom Roberts recently had his hands on is the short wheelbase version with the largest battery (52.5kWh) offering drivers a range of up to 174 miles and a payload of around 850kg.

This is a pre-production model, but we are assured it’s incredibly close to the production model we’ll see in the UK towards the end of 2020. There will be 2 battery sizes to choose from - 35kWh & 52.5kWh, returning a range of 127 miles & 174 miles respectively on the NEDC cycle. Rapid DC charge up to 85% charge will take 45 minutes no matter which battery you choose!

Shouts at the viewers at how incredibly noisy it is, then tells the head of LDV's EV division how impressively quiet it is..

Seriously. U say that the range is the primary concern among your viewers. 2nd is probably charging. So, WHY do you not answer the mega obvious questions - what average consumption you saw, how much avaible energy there seems to be and what the dc charging curve looks like.

Check some Björn Nyland videos. For education.

I love watching car review channels from UK and Australia because It's fun to see all the weird, cool stuff we'll never get in the US. :)

Drove one today.
Incredibly noisy, handles badly, you need to remove the entire bonnet to fill washer fluid, the sales guy recommended having a mate to help remove the bonnet. Im not making this up.
And theres a high pitched wine whilst driving that gave me a headache.
No way would i buy this car.

No-one should be quoting NEDC test cycle range figures anymore, it's widely known to be very inacurate, the WLTP range of 150 miles for the big battery is far more like what you will actually see in the summer months.

A white van that can't load euro pallets? Too narrow between the wheels, and too small sliding door at the side, totally useless.
And on top ot that, the bulkhead stealing space from the front pallet, so you cant use the height.
Do they suggest that you load empty pallets first, notching them for the wheels, and then put your goods in?

Good enough for big corporates hugging few in their fleets and use it for inner city duties. Not quiet there yet to change their entire fleet.

Garbage. Doesn’t show outside temperature. Looks like adjusting heat in this car going to be a struggle. I have seen couple of Maxus vans drive by and they all had foggy windows on a rainy day. The range will drop a lot with tools and equipment in the back. Only one side door....

Thanks for the video. I saw a more in depth video on youtube which went under the vehicle and looked at the chasis door panels and hinges and the sub floor of the load area and the axles and mounting points. In summary the Maxus deliver 3 looks like hot garbage and made out of thin box section. Real concerns about the quality of this product and the longevity of this vehicle. Its bonnet doesnt even remain attached to the vehicle when opened its a plastic fit panel with no hinges. Its less of a cat amongst the pigeons and more a steaming *urd thrown amongst the pigeons when only looking at the chassis and build quality. Each needs to make there own opinion, search for the other review video and see what I saw.

The interior looks different from psa group Van's looks good very car like but I think the ford and Mercedes Van's have the best practicality in the interior with cuby holes and cup holders every where

7 Hour charge time 45 minute quick charge time. Its still not good enough with 200 mile range not when you can get 400-600 miles with a liquid you can pour in, in less than 5 minutes

Shame that driver and passenger will have lost their voices by the end of the day

One thing the bonnet comes off as I found, could be fun in a strong wind if you checked fluids. take it it for engine service and being a composite bonnet.

Ha ha ha, a cheap Chinese LDV van with no resale value for a Transporter Highline price, you couldn't make it up!

Good review. With a 300+ mile range & a cab chassis option. I believe it could be a big seller. As much as tesla is replacing petrol cars. Replacing diesel trucks & vans is more impacting environmentally
