2/13/23 Comments: Guide is a bit old now but is still 100% Relevant. Really no changes to our favorite defender for a while. She does get the ability to ping recon beacons which is great.

I was running trios and my squad mates were Wattson and Lifeline. It felt very satisfying when they revived me and popped Wattson’s ultimate and Lifeline’s drone at the same time.

One thing I wish the devs would do for Wattson as a mini buff is maybe doing something with her unique Rez animation. Like how Gibby's unique Rez is faster than his normal. Like maybe let Wattson give back some shields when she picks up a teammate. Ya know since she's zapping the crap out of you when you're down.

Another quick tip I noticed wasn't being used in this video is when you have two doors perpendicular to each other. rather than placing 2 nodes on each door (4 total) in a line you can use 3 nodes in a triangular formation, 1 in the corner leading to the far side of each door and then connect the 2 ends (which also give you that double barrier). This will allow you to save a node and 15 seconds later you'll be able to block off another entrance or further barricade that same area. Another trick if you're fast is when your opponent has to reload rather than shooting them encase them in a fence, you'll inhibit their strafing which will give you a standing still target or they will hit your fence, move from their reticle and quickly finish them while they're stunned.

Definitely one of my favourite characters. I'm not great at using her abilities in fights when I'm under pressure but it's really satisfying when you set a trap and it pays off later. I once placed all my fences in a narrow chasm on King's Canyon and then ran off to the next ring and forgot about them. Late game me and my teammates are in the ring wondering where everybody is when suddenly I get like 5 kills all at once without doing anything. I guess a lot of people rotated late and ended up hitting my fences in the storm.

I've been having a great time playing Wattson, 500 kills this season with her! My main tip is fencing for running away. Placing a quick fence in front of you when need to retreat quickly to heal/reposition. It can give you that extra second to round a corner or make distance. Really nice when someone is trying to punch you out right of drop.

You forgot to mention that rampart also works great with wattson :D Also her ult make a lot of noise so you don't need to worry that someone will hear you resing your teammate

The best fences to place are on the the zips that go strait up(e.g. the zip in the streamer building in Frag). Most players dont have the skill to stop themselves and with the 3 second stun buff they are easy kills.
Her biggest buff this season is having a pylon and fences that actually work compared to what we had to deal with the last couple seasons even though I still played her when broken cause Wattson is a great legend.

Added tips, don't fence *around* a zipline like shown in the video, using up 4+ nodes. Instead just use 2 nodes and put the fence right through the zipline, forcing anyone going up to get buzzed.

You can also put a node on one side of a door (if let's say you are running away from someone), walk through it, close it behind you, and when whoever is chasing you is at the door you put the other node down and they'll get zapped through the door!

I think one of my favorite things to do is to have a Caustic, Wattson, and Rampart lock down an entire area of a map and just say no to other teams. I actually have a screenshot of a win where we did 0's across the board because it was to inconvenient to go through (they tried to go around and died in the circle

Wattson was the first legend I got, but I really struggle at making her effective, especially since my friends are a bunch of spastic psychopaths who hate waiting in one spot lol.
