Radio waves की तीव्रता किसी कोण पर सबसे ज्यादा इसलिए होती है क्योंकि radio waves दिशा-विशेष में प्रसारित होती हैं। जब radio waves किसी एंटीना से प्रसारित होती हैं, तो उनका एक radiation pattern होता है, जो विभिन्न दिशाओं में उनकी तीव्रता को दर्शाता है। इस pattern में कुछ कोणों पर तीव्रता अधिक होती है और कुछ पर कम।

मुख्य कारण:
1. एंटीना की डिज़ाइन: एंटीना की डिजाइन और उसका प्रकार radiation pattern को निर्धारित करता है। जैसे कि dipole एंटीना से प्रसारित waves एक विशेष plane में ज्यादा strong होती हैं।

2. Radiation Pattern: किसी भी एंटीना का radiation pattern (जैसे dipole, directional, या parabolic एंटीना) कुछ विशेष कोणों पर अधिकतम तीव्रता उत्पन्न करता है, जो एंटीना के मुख्य लोब या मेजर लोब के दिशा में होती है।
