EuProGigant_The Lighthouse Project for GAIA X in Manufacturing

"Our world is full of data. Getting more every day. Everywhere. Big Data has long since been around in the production environment, as well." This is how the intro-video of EuProGigant, the lighthouse project for GAIA-X in manufacturing, starts. It offers a quick insight into the project's contribution to a resilient, data-driven and sustainable production industry in Europe.

𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: EuProGigant stands for the “European Production Giganet for calamity avoiding self-orchestration of value chain and learning ecosystems". The research project, carried out by an Austro-German project consortium, aims to build a multi-location, digitally networked production ecosystem with smart and sovereign use of data. As a lighthouse project for the European data infrastructure GAIA-X it therefore bolsters European industry and advances its contribution to a more sustainable Europe.

EuProGigant is a registered EU-wide trademark of TU Wien and TU Darmstadt. It is supported by the BMK (AT; Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology), FFG (AT) and BMWi (DE; Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) for the project duration of 01 March 2021 – 28 February 2025.
