I have been new to Linux for a year now. Came over from Mac OS. I have Ubuntu KDE Neon on my Asus laptop. I found a lot of garbage on the NordVPN site about running the VPN on Linux. And I found even less information from KDE Plasma on running a VPN. Your video was incredibly helpful and useful. I recently switched from XFCE manjaro to KDE plasma and had to redo this, you are a life saver bro

You may have to restart Manjaro to get this install to work, as in this scenario: say you got sent straight to an HTTPS URL after entering 'sudo nordvpn login' in the CLI. When I clicked on the URL the first time, the browser opened, and a Nord page told me, "Great-you're in!". At that time though, when I clicked 'continue', nothing happened. And entering 'nordvpn status' in the CLI told me I wasn't logged in. Now that I've restarted, the commands from the help menu work just fine.

what other services should we enable beforehand if little stuff like this happens frequently? is there a list of them services? how can we view them?

great video. @8:10: how come the nordvpn yay install doesn't enable service automatically? and how come we have to restart the machine. Don't remember doing any of this for the ExpressVPN install. It was install, then connect to VPN. Anyway, I'm up and running issuing 'systemctl enable nordvpnd.service', then rebooting. Update: turns out I didn't need to reboot. Just needed to run 'systemctl start nordvpnd.service' as it says on this video
