We have a street called Ho Chi Minh Sarani here in Kolkata renamed by the then left front government from Harrington street after being strongly influenced by Vietnam's national liberation movement against British colonial rule. Ho Chi Minh means 'he who enlightens'. Also, the new year celebration in Vietnam is very similar to that of Chinese new lunar year as celebrated here in Tangra.

Ye train street ka vibe to bilkul hi badal gaya hai 5 saal mein. When I went, there were no cafes, no place to sit and hardly anyone knew about the place. There used to be multiple trains during the day. Instagram ne sab badal dala :D

Looks congested just like Indian cities, but WAY WAY CLEANER than many Indian cities. We desis have to learn to keep our cities clean. No gutka, no plastic or paper trash, etc.

It’s only done once a year or at death anniversary. There is definitely garbage on the streets in Vietnam, but we definitely don’t burn garbage in the middle of the street.
