Elena is a phenomenon to watch. Her potential for greatness is clear.

Elena is different to many big servers in that she can mix up her game with ease. When her serves are not working she takes the power away and goes for accuracy. When the bassline rally isn't working she can find angles and drop shots. Hope that her success continues. But as in all surprise winners of Grand Slams who come from nowhere. I would give her a year to settle before wondering how good she is going to be. But right now she has the right attitude.

Believe it or not Jabeur was ranked world no.2 during this tournament and was playing her best surface, winning Berlin in the leadup. After the first set wobbles, Rybakina made her look like a ITF level player, she did the same with Halep in the semifinals. Barely having to break a sweat.
