Basically I'm sick of Fi's monopoly on authenticity in the MBTI community.

My Fi and Ni authenticity are so intertwined that I can’t figure out where Fi ends and Ni begins.

INTP here. This is such an important video, very nice job. I think the MBTI community still has ways to go in the complete characterization of the 4 introverted functions. And what’s lacking the most, IMO, is exactly what is being done here: the contrasting and comparing of the 4 functions against a narrowly defined, specific common denominator, as done here with running simulations of how each of the functions treat and relate to the concept of ‘authenticity’. More of this, please!

The vid: People with Ti need to check if something is true, before they will believe in it.
Me (an intp) watching it and in the same time bielieving everything what is on YouTube:
Totally me

Fi has a subjective outset, and then proceed with objective references to align it.

Ti has an objective outset, and (may) then align with a subjective reference, before proceeding.

Si internalizes external observations into self-referential frameworks, which are consolidated in an almost institutional manner once verified.

Ni takes a subjective outset, and uses it as a compass through objective references, which it condenses into components, that can be assimilated to a subjective lens, to target the/its objective.

, ,, or its all bs 😛

I'd say you're pretty much on the right track about Ti. For me (I think I'm a Ti user), evaluating things is a process. I need to gather information about the topic and then all this info slowly gets disentangled and organized, and it becomes clear which pieces don't and which do fit together to form what I then recognize as the truth. But it can take a looong time for that to become clear, especially because I tend to stay open to new info which may be conflicting and disturb the formation of that final conclusion.

I didn't think I was authentic but I am pretty transparent about my desires.

Hi, it’s Ben, whom you recently typed as ESFP. Happy to see you on here again being yourself in your environment! I read about my type in socionics and relate to it deeply! Se is a function I don’t see much about except to call Se-doms party animals or vapid. I’m not concerned with what people think about me, but it’s an observation I like to make. My interest in mbti had been historically transient, so I may come and go on your channel, but it’s fun!

That was really interesting. It's weird that you thought about nihilism as a first word for Ni because as a Ni user, that's the word I would attribute more to Ne actually. Ni would be the opposite so existentialism for me because stereotypically for Ni, everything has its own meaning while for Ne users, stereotypically they don't see one particular meaning in things but it could be many things so the anti-meaning thing you mentioned. At first I thought about the authenticity of probability for Ni because of the pattern recognition thing and trying to follow the most likely outcome because more indicators seem to point toward one way. But in the end I think it wasn't general enough and more related to one aspect of Ni, so I think your way to name it was better.

I love how you described Ti! It was very helpful in determining my type :)

You can always spot a Fi pref in reality TV when they resort to "But do you know how badly I WANT this?!" argument to avoid a vote to go home. As if everyone didn't have equal rights to be here since there's a literal reward on the line.

I really want to stress this.
Ni users often are very opinionated. We don't speak up for a number of reasons.
As an ENFJ, my Fe begs me to keep the peace. Controversial opinions aren't really ok in most social spaces.
There's another element to it though.
Introverted functions just are quiet. They're the parts of people that aren't shared until you get to know them. Ni Ti in combination is thoughts and theories.
This is an example from personal experience. If an NFJ shares their thoughts and opinions with you, they trust you a lot. If they share their philosphies of life with you they tend to expect you to be in their life for a while. Because they're an NF type, often times "a while" might mean a lifetime. NFJs are super creative in general, it's just that we hate showing people our work sometimes. It's so close to the heart that even the thought of someone saying "that's awful" is scary. If an NFJ shows you their thoughts or creativity, for the love of all that is good PLEASE don't tell them they suck. A better approach would be "hey, this detail could be fixed." Additionally, we're obsessed with why. If we say "I want to go into this career" that's not personal usually. Now if we tell you exactly why we want to go into that career, that is important.
I don't know as much about NFPs because I haven't asked.
