I first saw Scott Wilson playing a murder suspect named Harvey in the movie In the Heat of the Night. He was blond, boyish, and so convincingly Southern in that role. I'm glad he was such a big hit half a century later.

When I see Scott Wilson I just can't shake the impression he made on me in "In Cold Blood", one of the most powerful movies ever. The performances by him and Robert Blake - plus an amazing supporting cast - made for what I thought should have been a serious contender for an Oscar for best picture.

I haven't seen much of his work, but from what I've seen on the Walking Dead and In Cold Blood, this man is a true american treasure who is totally under appreciated. Try to get another one with him!

FOR ALL YOU YOUNG do not know this actors past....he was in one of the most famous films of the mid 20th century. Wilson was quite young when he stared in it. The film is called "IN COLD BLOOD". It is a true story about two drifter/con men who come across some information concerning a rich farmer who supposedly is keeping a large amount of cash in his farm house. The movie is in black & white and even though it was made long after the "film noir" has that feel to it

Amazing actor. I can't believe that he once played Elvis' dad in a TV movie back in the day. I went and watched most things he was in because he was so great as Hershel. I hope that we haven't seen the last of him!

The first time I saw him was when I was a kid in the movie " In The Heat of the Night" he was in the The Right Stuff too. Played the Governor in Young Guns II and the Diplomat in The Last Samurai.
