Trump's top diplomat Marco Rubio puts pressure on Russia to end war

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has stressed the only way to end the Ukraine war is through "negotiation", not "military solutions".

He said the US hopes to have a positive answer on the ceasefire from Russia, adding he would urge Vladimir Putin to end hostilities "so people will stop dying, so bullets will stop flying".

This conflict is not a stalemate. Russia is progressing slowly but surely. They would be fools to give Ukraine the chance to regroup. And I think if Ukraine is interested in a lasting peace they wouldn't want military aid and intelligence to recommence.

I think we are closer to ending the war by breaking Russia economically then most realize. The 1917 Russian revolution was caused by its economic collapse as much as it was by the war. Germany surrendered due to a similar economic collapse along with internal revolts . The Germans controlled north east France on November 11 1918. Germany itself was not breached.
