If we’re going to be building five star luxury towers and more luxury apartments then locals actually need then we need to consider that a lot of the places those apartments are going in at used to be cheaper housing in those locations were folks like me who work in the service industry used to be able to save up and have dignity. Now we teetering on the edge of homelessness can’t save at all even being totally sober I can’t afford even market rate housing I say we need to build 5000 affordable housing units that are only available to folks who already live here before we even open one more luxury apartment.
