Fender Pro Junior IV - a great little amp

This little amp is really good. 15 watt EL84 tube amp which sound great in a band and at home it sounds full and punchy even at quite low volumes. I´ve had Blues Juniors before but I think that the Pro Junior sounds a bit better, at least in this version with a Jensen P10R alnico loudspeaker. The amp has only two controls: tone and volume and maybe that´s why it sounds so great. Nothing in the way of good sound. No reverb is of course a disadvantage but there are so many good pedal reverbs nowadays.

Agreed - I'll take a Tweed Pro Junior IV with the stock Jensen P10R alnico over a Blues Junior any day. Even the Tweed Blues Junior with the 12" P12N speaker didn't sound as good to me at any volume. Putting a combo amp close to the back wall as shown in this video can help accentuate the bass, producing a warmer tone if desired. For the opposite effect, put it on a stand and tilt it back - you'll be amazed! ☮

When bought mine, had the chance to compare this to Blues Junior, meven connecting them to the same speaker. Pro Jr sounds waaaay better (for me, at least).
Also, it is biased a little too hot, had problems because of that - one final tube failed. Better check Bias!
