Everyone loves Soldiers of the Sea, for good reason, but my favorite is Murder, because it's one of the only tracks that features a violin solo. It's probably unintentional, but I like to imagine it's the ghost of Nunzio Pasqua urging us on, begging us to realize the injustice of his death and the stupidity of his murderer.

Saw this on the video for Soldiers of the Sea, but I just wanted to share this absolute poetry someone wrote with y'all "Lightning heralded their arrival, these horrific riders of the deep, and as their spiny legs crawled upon the unsuspecting Obra Dinn, the funeral bell tolled ceaselessly."

No one mentioned it yet, but...
Have tou noticed that the main melody of Murder B is played by violin? That's because murdered Nunzio Pasqua was violinist

The soldiers of the sea part has to be one of the most magical moments I've experienced in a game. The way you start from behind the walls, only getting glimpses of the creatures, to finally being up close to them and noticing the humanoid figures on top. Witnessing all the death and chaos as the sailors fight for their lives. All the while that music playing, so good. If I could erase my memory of this game to play it fresh again I would.

The moment you went from "This is a nice little indie game. It's not super intense but I like it!" to "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!"

In retrospective, it's kinda wild how in every "chapter" you get glimpses of the power the watch possesses, being able to research the deaths of other inaccessible corpses through another corpse, and how animals and body parts are also included in this "death replay", and how it all comes back for the grand finale, it makes it feel earned, since you saw all of that, you experienced it, and thanks to that it doesn't feel like an asspull power that came out of nowhere, just a character well aware of this power and setting everything up for someone to uncover everything. Also the moment you uncover the kraken attacking the ship and see it through the captain's wife (I think she was the wife) is easily one of the greatest "oh shit" moments I experienced recently in gaming, since I knew nothing of the game, well that and the abominations riding crabs was also downright terrifying

Soldiers of the Sea genuinely provokes an emotional reaction, if you closed your eyes you might think it was about brave soldiers at sea or something
But in the game, you see don't see soldiers. You see terrified workers, throwing themselves at these seemingly indestructible monsters in a desperate bid to save each other.
In the end it was for nothing, but those were the heroes of this story.

This OST is the reason why bells are now my favorite musical instrument.

I had no idea what to expect of this game. First thoughts:, ,Hmm weird/cool artstyle, interesting vibe/asthetic. Weird mechanic. Nice music."
And then it happened. This game is in my head for months now. I'm listening to the music sometimes and still think about it often. I think, this is one of the best games I have ever played. What a perfect and unique experience.

It's amazing how this album came with a free game attached to it

I miss the off-game moments of conclusion or realization I had while playing this game

I used to think about it before going to bed then jump to play it because I remembered a key clue

I recently discovered the game
And DAMN Lucas Pope did a really good job in lore-building
You don't need to have seen every boring day on the ship to BELIEVE what's happening to them could, in some way, be real, you just barely "know" them but despite that the game does a really great job at making you feel bad for pure strangers on a cursed ship

Nobody told Petes Mother that that one guy tried his best to pull him back in :(

I love that the last person on board that I successfully identified is actually one of the first two people it's possible to identify at the start of the game: the helmsman. It's really funny to me how you can dive into the deepest rabbit holes of information trying to get one person's identity, but completely ignore the guy standing (sorta) next to the helm every time he's on screen.

Simply the best deduction game ever made yet. A true masterpiece. And the soundtrack manages to stick this experience for a very long time in your head. Most likely the most intense and emersive gameplay experience for me.
