Hi, I have had this treatment done once and it was great. However, I have a question. The stylist sold me the Goldwell Kerasilk shampoo to use after the treatment, but I later realized it contains sulfates. I have heard that sulfates will destroy a keratin treatment and you should always use a sulfate-free shampoo to maintain the treatment. Is this true? If so, why does the Kerasilk shampoo contain sulfates?

Hello! I'm a stylist of 23 years, and have been a Goldwell user since the beginning of my career. Nothing compares to Goldwell, and I absolutely love the new line! The only issue I'm having is not understanding when or if color can be applied on the same day as this service. I've found that if I color the hair immediately before providing the keratin service, that it causes color fade. If I apply the color immediately after the service it doesn't take as well. In the past I would schedule clients on two separate days for each service. Keratin first, then color. But I would think that keratin would be more beneficial after a color service. I can't find a definitive answer to this question. I have many clients that would prefer to be able to receive their color and keratin treatment during the same visit, but it appears as though that isn't possible. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Any tips or help with this would be greatly appreciated! ❤
