I love my D90. I got it free as part of a bundle deal recently. Never heard of it before. I decided to test it against my SM58 and Sennheiser 935. The CAD D90 is now my primary vocal mic. 👍🎤

I love the CAD D90 - it sounds very real and replicated exactly what is put into it. Another amazing mic is the CAD D89 which I use to mic my guitar cab. It blows away my Shure SM57.

The articulation was fine on the SM58, and it sounded like it was rejecting more of the room sound.

Didn't know they were astatic I have an old astatic mic from the 1950s. I agree I run a CAD mic and it sounds better than the SM 58 my guitarist uses for back up vocals. The old astatic mic has a very unique sound to it almost megaphone like but milder.

Shure is warmer. CAD gives your voice greater clarity, as you say - articulation. A singer might want warmth over articulation. It depends.

I chose the D90s for the vocalists in out church. They work well.

Which one has better gain before feedback?

The plosives on the Cad is what turns me off. Otherwise sounds good.
