Scammers are targeting people who use Cash App, Venmo, and Zelle, and in some cases draining their accounts

[EDIT: There were some bots pretending to tell people about these bots but then promoted a scam "fund recovery" service

I got caught too!! What makes me sad is that the person that started this whole miserable work is that he claimed to be a Christian. A true follower of our Lord would not stoop to lying, cheating or stealing since it so goes against what is written in the Bible. I’ve been there, my sympathies to all who were stolen from, and unfortunately, to all who will be in the future. Be at peace.

Same EXACT same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago! If you come across a website that claims to be a Cash App site for speaking with a customer service representative, IT IS FAKE! They do NOT have phone customer service reps!

Zelle is probably the safest one to use because they directly work with and are integrated into the banks own apps.

With that said, there no amount of protection that works against stupid.

Too bad. There is no way I know of whereby we can talk to Cashapp support (Square) The tollfree number they provide has no option to talk to a human.
So many victims. Wish there was a way to report abuse. No email for reporting abuse.

Some Indian just called me and wanted my debit card number. When I wouldn't give it to him he hung up. He had the first 4 digits of it already but wanted the rest. How he had that I don't know. I wish everyone would know NEVER EVER give anyone your personal information such as a debit card number. No matter what they say don't do it. I hate seeing people get scammed.

I've contacted cash app for a problem with a refund through there email. 6days later I got a call saying we are contacting you about your refund they had me downloaded team viewer and they started taking money out of my bank sending it to themselves. And the worst part is I heard other people talking in the background saying hello this is cash app I'm starting to think actually employee are doing it
