d.va the character is pretty much the mech. she doesn't hang out, outside of it much. so to me it makes sense to make the pop like they did/are.

I agree she is a cool character that would look nice as a regular pop size that can be placed along side all the other gender confused characters, but I think it makes more sense to do it how they are, vs. ignoring her main aspect which is the mech.

even if they made it a "pop ride", a regular sized pop diva would need a very, large mech ride in order for her to fit in.

I didn't have the issue with D.va before, but now that you pointed it out it is definitely an odd design choice. Another weird thing with it is that the mech doesn't open from the front, it opens from the back, haha.

I'd love to see your collection in detail, and what kind of shelves you used to get that tiered look. Also, what your favorite pops are in your collection!

I think another thing that is off, is Dva herself. I don't know how to describe it but usually pop figure bodies are wide like with legs apart, but Dva's body kind of looks like it's wrapped tight in a blanket. I mean I get why they did it, and I don't think it looks horrible, it's just kind of off from other pop figures especially if you can take her out of the mech and set her next to the rest of your collection.

When I first saw the new Wave 2 Overwatch Pops I was excited to see D.Va. (more so now Mei). Now after getting a good look at it, I have to agree. I'm hoping this was an early concept. She should honestly be regular size with her mech either being a separate purchase, or an oversized accessory would have been great. And yes...why is it front loading?!

It sort of looks like you'll be able to close the mech so maybe the mech is 6" while it's closed?

Aw I agree with you on the DVa figure. If they had just made her face visible from behind her mech's glass, that probably would've looked much better. Plus the sizes would've remained uniform that way.

I think theyre doing the same thing they did with the Titanfall 2 pops where the pilots are the size of the keychain pops and the titans were the bigger ones, so it would be Dva being itty bitty and her mech being a decent size 👀

Well she has to stand since they dont make funko pops that lie down and face forward. The concept I see them going for is that shes standing in her mech because its open in the front like a cockpit. I can see that yeah she will might be smaller then the others so you cant pose her next to her mech unless they make her mech really big like bigger then the winston pop or they will sell a dva pop without her mech in the future but by the look of the picture it could be just scaled small but in person she will be the same size as a regular pop excluding her mech being big
