What happens in MASS behind the scenes?

Watch this behind-the-scenes featurette of “The Veil Removed,” a 2019 short film produced by Spirit Juice Studios that reveals the coming together of heaven and earth at Mass, as seen by saints and mystics, revealed by scripture and in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

That may sound like a bold subject to present on film because…it is. Watch behind-the-scenes interviews with the filmmakers and crew members to see how a combination of on-set actors and extras, visual effects, practical effects, makeup, and plenty of divine inspiration came together to bring the reality of the Mass to life in an emotionally stirring multimedia presentation.

Chris Magruder, host of the Catholic Women Now radio show, was inspired to create this film to faithfully represent the power of what happens every time Catholic Mass is celebrated. Hoping the project could increase interest and excitement for participating in the Eucharist, she founded a non-profit to gain support for the production of the film and approached Spirit Juice to deliver the creative firepower necessary to bring her dream to life.

The film has racked up more than 1.9 million views on YouTube since its release in December 2019, and Spirit Juice has received numerous comments from around the world on how the film is transforming the way people experience the Mass.

When my Confirmation 2nd Year group has finished with the ALTARATION: Mystery Of The Mass Revealed series in a few weeks, I will show this short film as sort of a Coda to our 7 weeks of teaching and discussions on the Mass. This film really tears away the veil, allows us to 'lean in" to the Mass. If any of the teens have somehow missed what is happening at the Mass before this, I think that in 5 1/2 minutes this gives them a bite-sized mouthful screaming at them saying "THIS IS THE MIRACLE we've been talking about, boys and girls!!" Wunnerful piece of work which makes me tear up every time, and certainly it will again with my teens and my wife/teacher aide watching. God Bless.

The Veil Removed was the most powerful film ever I have seen about the Power and importance of the Eucharist explained what happened in details that Catholic or not would understand in awe with admiration of the beauty, glory and revelation of the TRUE essence of the MASS as the Heaven touched the Earth as the body and blood of Christ was served, blessed and broken for humanity to partake. Catholicism is beautiful.
