What is a Writ of Mandamus?

A Writ of Mandamus is a legal request where you're asking an appeals court to order the lower court to do something.

In regards to Michael Flynn's case the lower court judge decided he was not going to dismiss Flynn's case, so then Flynn's attorney decided to go above the lower court to the appeals court to ask them to order the judge to dismiss the case, which is exactly what happened.

I had a judge that was disqualified against me as a conflict of interest when I was 13 years old. When I turned 21 he put himself back in the judges seat in disregard to the previously acknowledged conflict of interest. I recently raised a collateral attack on these void on its face judgements through a dissolution of marriage when the State of Montana decide to include a guardian ad litem to the mix. This person has the right to review my legal history (which I claim doesn't exist within confines of our legal system.) At what point do I have jurisdiction to appeal this case in federal courts.

This the 15th day since the mandamus was decided. The mandamus should have been issued by now, but there seems to be no record of it being issued. Is there a possibility of an en banc being convened to drag this out further? I can't find any resolution to this question anywhere.
