Camel Pose (Ustrasana) is a backbending yoga posture that opens the entire front side of the body. It is an intermediate level back-bending yoga posture known to open Anahata (Heart chakra). This yoga posture adds flexibility and strength to the body and also helps in improving digestion. Today in 'Yoga and You' Dhivya from Dhivyam Yoga shows us how to do Camel Pose (Ustrasana).

I am new to yoga. And really was only searching for exercises that can help with my ribs. I had back injuries 20 years ago that led to muscle spasms dislocating my ribs. This exercise was recommended and your video was one of 7 I watched. By far the best one. I am now a subscriber. Thank you. Time to start practicing.

I am trying to warm up by also leaning back flat to the floor to stretch ankles and thighs. I am a stiff little stick. I learned that a stretch should be held 3- 4 minutes to give the body time to release the muscle. I have started two days ago.

Oh my god, thank you so much for a nice video.. I really don't believe that I can make it.. Until I watch this video.Even it is quite hard early, but I barely make it.

i believe you should inhale while bending back and exhale while coming fwd.. but maam was telling opposite.. pl correct me if am wrong
