Marissa, did you ever do a blog on what you ended up using and what worked well? I've heard about the depends too, but wondered if that's what worked best in retrospect, or if there were other things you flat out didn't use at all, or wished you had more of, etc.

If you ever run out of nursing pads you can use pantyliners or maxi pads

I’m watching this at almost 33 weeks. I commented the other day because I just found your channel and live on the coast near by. We also had a miscarriage in July and our little girl is due the day we conceived the one we lost, this coming July! It’s crazy how things work out. I’m sorry for your loss but so excited or your future!

Imagine your child watching these videos 15, 20, 25, etc. years from now and appreciating all you have done for them.

If you are gonna breastfeed get a hakka! It is a suction pump that catches the letdown when you’re feeding on the other side . It can start up a little stash really quick !

Hey Marissa! All great things you got. A few postpartum recommendations:
1. Get the peri bottles from the hospital for your other bathrooms. They arnt as nice but work fine and are free
2. Earth Mama spray is nice after a few days but initially - dermaplast (which your hospital may give you) is strong and works amazingly
3. Have a water bottle in every room in your house! I never remembered to carry one around (since I was carrying baby) and my feet got super swollen a week postpartum because you need to drink a TON
4. If breastfeeding - get a Hakka or other milk catcher for the first few weeks - you overproduce at the beginning and you can save that milk for a freezer stash.

Hi! Sorry if this was already suggested but get some Earth Mama nipple cream - it is the only thing that really worked for myself and several friends. And beware that the Lanolin cream stains - found that out the hard way. :( And breast milk storage bags if you are planning on using a haaka and/or pumping. Target has some great button up sleeping gowns and tops - makes middle of the night nursing so much easier. Also, my hospital provided me with a "cushion" of sorts to sit on since I was quite swollen and sore and it dispersed some of the discomfort - so if they don't offer something like this (I didn't know mine did) perhaps look into something like that and if they do offer it - take it home!! I am so glad I did! :) Can't wait to continue to watch your journey!

When you have your feet up, doing some ankle pumps/rolls can help some with moving that fluid around. Getting those muscles moving can help act as a pump for the swelling!

Those Lansinoh (Hehe I love watching the different ways people pronounce it) gel packs are awesome! The heat also helps with let-down. You'll love them!

One recommendation is for bamboobies overnight reusable nursing pads. I don't like the regular ones that are shaped like hearts but the overnight ones are great and I wear those all the time not just at night. Also, they often will have sales at holidays on their website where you can get 40% off and then they throw in two free pairs of nursing pads. The Earth Mama perineal spray that you have is amazing. It's so much better than the spray the hospital gives you. What's nice is that you can use it however often you need whereas the hospital spray you can only use I think four times in 24 hours...

I was watching this thinking that I feel like I am watching myself. I'm pregnant, ankles swollen, just hauled the same pp stuff, ate an ice cream sandwich the other day, placed my Kroger pick up last night, have definitely sang by you a drank with my husband in the kitchen BUT THEN you said you don't like the inside of an Oreo and you lost me. hahaha that is the BEST part!! Also the baby was kicking me the whole time I watched this. I think he/she is going to recognize your voice from all the videos I watch of yours haha. You are getting so close now, I am so excited for you!

I wish Frida had had their mom line when I was having my babies. The hospital will give you a few peri bottles that you can always bring home and stash in your other bathrooms! Also I loved the washable breast pads. The disposable ones weren’t comfortable and would always get twisted around. And like another person already mentioned a Hakka is amazing. Since you shouldn’t really pump the first few weeks to avoid an oversupply. The Hakka is nice because you can stick it on and collect the milk that leaks from the opposite side you’re feeding on. Good luck! Hope baby stays put for a little while longer!

I literally bought all the same postpartum essentials including the same nursing bras. I did pick up some of those absorbent "puppy"pads in the incontinence section at target. A couple Youtube moms recommended taking an hour each day for the first week postpartum to sit down with no undies on to get some fresh air down under after a shower. It supposed to help with the healing process especially with swelling and stitches. Obviously there is going to still be some bleeding and the absorbent pad will keep any surfaces you sit on clean. I'm going to give it a try and see if it helps speed up the healing process.

Can you film a pregnancy lookbook/capsule wardrobe? As well as a meal planning tutorial and meal ideas? Love your channel

Love this! I would call your hospital (if you can get ahold of someone) and ask what they provide. I e heard that most hospitals, especially in more populated places provide pretty much all the mesh undies, diapers, and such that you need. That’s on my list of things to ask if I’m able to do a hospital tour (I’m due in August) or at least have a short discussion.

I'm not sure if you've had to buy any compression socks yet, but if you're feet are hurting too terribly bad by the end of the day, try Feetures! socks. They're made for runners, but they were the only compression socks I tried that worked for me. That, along with a foot spa and Epsom salts. My feet were pretty swollen most of my pregnancy and then up to about 2 weeks or so after birth(yep, expect that symptom to linger for a little bit).

That Belly Bandit and 3 in 1 therapy pads are going to be life savers too! I loved mine! I would advise getting you some Dermaplast First Aid Spray if the hospital doesn't provide it and then keeping a tube of Chapstick literally anywhere you might be hanging out once home.
