Join us in this Part 1 of 3 video where we spend two nights camping in the National Forests of Washington.

Danny, Emma and I went out for a Memorial Day extended weekend camping trip to the area west of Bumping Lake in the Mount Baker - Snoqualmie National Forest. We headed out of town by first traveling through the east side of Mount Rainier National Park, up and over Chinook Pass and then up the Bumping River Valley. The road turns to gravel after Bumping Lake and we explored a bit until we found an excellent dispersed campsite to spend the next two nights.

Our campsite overlooked two adjacent creeks which were flowing strong. The snow had just recently melted out where our campsite was situated. We got both of our tents setup and then settled in for a two night stay, enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of the deep forest.
