This lecture provides an overview of the innate immune system by introducing classes of pathogens, types of innate immune cells, physical barriers to infection, and the contributions of professional phagocytes to innate immune defense.

All figures are either from Janeway's Immunobiology (9th ed.) where noted, or my own original figures.
