Positive Discipline TV is designed to highlight the voices, wisdom and diversity of Positive Discipline parent educators, directly to the families we serve. Our guest on June 24, 2022 was Noha Alshugairi, author of Positive Parenting in the Muslim Home.
Noha Alshugairi received her PhD in Islamic Studies from Graduate Theological Foundation, her M.S. in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton, and her B.A. in Zoology from Rutgers University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in California. She strongly believes in the power of an encouraging therapeutic relationship to effect change.
As a Certified Positive Discipline Lead Trainer, she conducts parenting classes on a regular basis and in her practice, she utilizes Positive Discipline to help parents and children have a better connected relationship. She frequently lectures on issues related to women, the family, and mental health. Noha (with Munira Ezzeldine) is the co-author of Positive Parenting the Muslim Home. She has been married for 38 years, has 4 grown children, and 5 grandchildren.
