The city and county needs to ERADICATE the homeless/ drug users/drug dealers from the area!! How the HELL do you have a bus terminal crawling with such unsavory characters and you know good and damned well that most people in Broward have to pass through this place to connect with the other public transit?!?!?!?!?!

That area is absolutely disgusting. I used to work over there and frequently took the bus. I was harassed, followed, and most times ended up having to call uber to pick me up. The homeless have mental issues abd there are lots of drug abuse. They also poop on the sidewalk. Yes i said it. Human feces on sidewalks. Its crazy because less than 10 minutes away is las olas with trendy expensive shops and high rise condos. You couldn't pay me to live in that area. Too dangerous

It is unfair to continually point out that this incident happened "near the Briteline station". The Briteline station is well-sealed off from the bus station, and this appears to be very intentional on their part, and for good reason. Briteline has enough unfair publicity to deal with at this time. There is no reason to add to it by conflating them with the bus terminal. The homeless population that you speak of do not congregate at the Briteline station. In fact, Briteline has done a very good job of keeping that whole station modern, clean, and safe, both inside and out. They should be commended for this instead of being pulled into a situation that they have nothing to do with.
